The course is meant for those who have already studied Japanese for busy people 1. If you have studied ‘-te form’, ‘-nai form’, ‘-ta form’ and ‘dictionary form(-ru form)’ somewhere else then you are very welcome to participate in the course. It consists of 12 weekly 1.5 hour sessions, in total 18 hours. It focuses on language skills in everyday situations on general communication.
The goal is not just to increase your knowledge of grammar and sentence patterns. At this level, you will have the ability to have conversations about day-to-day activity and about oneself.
Japanese 4 is ideal for learners to have conversation with increasingly more complex subject matters like “complaining about your health and showing concern for the health others’ and ‘giving a detailed self-introduction’. In addition, students are expected to spend a few hours a week doing homework.
Self-study: reading Kanji (Chinese characters), memorizing vocabulary, and doing exercises.
